No time like the present

No time like the present

Stuck at home unexpectedly with more free time on your hands? Maybe it’s a good opportunity to do something you’ve been avoiding. What have you been thinking you would do if you just had the time?

Are there books you’ve wanted to read that haven’t got to? Even if libraries are closed, you can rent a lot of books and audiobooks on a subscription service like Scribd (free trial and the $9 per month). If you read or listen to 2 or 3 books per month, it’s a great deal.

Maybe it’s time to tidy or finish some long-neglected household project. If you need a creative outlet, do some drawing, painting, photography or writing. If friends are stuck in the same boat, maybe it’s time to reconnect with people.

The options are endless. If you’re not sure what to do, imagine yourself a month or two from now and back to your normal schedule. Looking back on now, how will you wish you had spent you time?

What are doing with your extra free time?

Hopefully, my questions cause you to reflect on your own thinking, relationships or choices. Maybe I even inspire you to make positive changes.
