Life in a beautiful state revisited
It’s been more than a year since I wrote one of my favorite blog posts, Life in a beautiful state. The experience and reflection that inspired that post was so life-changing that I also wrote Life in a beautiful state – Part 2. Since then, I’ve been much happier, with few instances of anger or frustration.
I needed a refresher this past weekend after I succumbed to tech rage while working on our website. Not only did I feel terribly frustrated, poor Trish and Roli had to deal with my negative energy. As with most cases of tech rage I’ve experienced, it was my lack of knowledge that caused the issue.
The following day I was able to reflect and realize that, once again I was acting foolishly. Frustration doesn’t solve your problems and tends to cause its own. When things aren’t working as I expect they should, it’s best to search for an answer. No doubt someone else has experienced the same issue and written about how to fix it.
How do you avoid frustration and learn from those times when frustration gets the better of you?
Hopefully, my questions cause you to reflect on your own thinking, relationships or choices. Maybe I even inspire you to make positive changes.

One of my favorite podcasts at the moment is The Mindstrong Project. In episode #48, Rachel Balkovec shared some of her experience with a topic close to my heart, the importance of culture in an organization. I also really enjoyed hearing how she dealt with adversity...

What if there’s a solution?
If you’ve suffered for a long time, you might even forget what it’s like to feel good. Eventually, you might believe it's just how you are. As hard as it may be, it’s critical to know you can get better. When you know, you’ll keep looking for a solution. Trish had...
If there’s still time, use it
Sometimes we resign ourselves to the fact that we didn’t get something done, even though there’s still time to do it. If we thought about it, we might instead take some action and move forward. It was a rough weekend, getting work done that spilled over from the week....
