Time’s a wastin

Time’s a wastin

The more you lament that you didn’t do something earlier, the more it tells you to do it as soon as possible or let it go.

Maybe you should have started painting, playing music, learning a language or trying a new sport years ago. Even more challenging are former passions that you’ve let languish. Seeing the progress others have made during your sabbatical can sap motivation. “If only I had kept going….it’s too late for me now.”

“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”
– Chinese Proverb

It’s easy to find reasons to put off action. If you really value your goal, sooner or later you need to act. If you don’t take action towards achieving it, how important is it?

What do you need to start now or let go?

Hopefully, my questions cause you to reflect on your own thinking, relationships or choices. Maybe I even inspire you to make positive changes.

If you want to feel good, surround yourself with people who see you as the best. The upside is that you might inspire others to improve. People want to be the best and will chase your performance. The downside is that you might not improve as fast. If you’re not...

Familiar and novel (by Trish)

When it comes to weekend adventures, Jim, Roli and I are creatures of habit. Despite the fact that we’ve easily got hundreds of choices within a 30 minute radius of our home, we tend to stick to the same handful of places. As the weekend draws near, I sometimes think,...
